ESC Dedicates Clark Education Center
The Clark County Educational Service Center dedicated its new Clark Education Center - Clifton Campus at a ceremony on Sept. 12, celebrating a new chapter in offering services close to home to meet the needs of all students.
The Center welcomes students from Clark County school districts who have intensive educational needs that are not met in the traditional classroom. Prior to the opening of the program this year, many of these students traveled to other county for education programs. The introduction of the CEC - Clifton Campus will serve these students in their community and help districts reduce transportation costs.
“Currently, many of these students endure a long bus ride to another county for educational programs that provide the intensive services they need to succeed,” said Mr. Bennett. “With the opening of the Clifton Campus, these students will have access to high-quality, comprehensive services in the county where they live.”
The program’s director is Ms. Jeanne Milord, who leads a team of caring and dedicated educators and support staff to help each student achieve their academic goals. The enter is located at the former Kindergarten Village through a lease agreement with the Clark-Shawnee Local School District.
Ohio Senator Bob Hackett presented a proclamation from Sen. Hackett and State Representative Kyle Koehler to the Clark Education Center- Clifton Campus during the school’s dedication ceremony, and Clark County ESC Board Members rang the school bell to commemorate the dedication.
